*Sob*. What am I going to do now? I read book four, Tegan’s Power, the concluding story in the Ultimate Power series by L.H. Cosway, or the Tegan’s Blood books as I call them, over Christmas. I was genuinely sad to reach the last page and felt a little down about saying goodbye to all the wonderful characters like Tegan, Finn, Ethan and Rita. Bittersweet I suppose is how I’d have to describe reading the last sentence.

Tegan’s Blood introduced us to our heroine. Devastated by her boyfriend’s suicide, Tegan dropped out of college and made herself a virtual recluse in her apartment until her best friend dragged her to a club one night. At Crimson, she caught the eye of powerful Romanian vampire Ethan Cristescu, and the rest is history.

Tegan’s Return brought her back to Tribane after a couple of years in hiding, in order to rescue a young girl. Ethan was delighted to have her back, but his alliance to the not-so-nice ruler of Tribane meant the course of true love did not run smoothly for one my favourite supernatural couples ever. We got to spend more time with Finn, the lovable rogue and Irish vampire slayer in this book.
***
Tegan’s Magic saw our heroine get a better hold on her powers. She’s not the ordinary girl she assumed she was and can now fight and hold her own with the best of the supernaturals. Tribane is a hub of craziness and with the powerful witch Rita joining up with their enemy, how will Tegan and her gang fare? In Tegan’s Magic, we also got to see what Tegan’s potent blood does to a vampire.

Tegan’s Power brought us to the showdown between the evil sorcerer Theodore and the rest of the supernaturals in Tribane. I won’t spoil the plot for those who haven’t read the book, but Tegan does get a happy ending in the romance stakes (this is a paranormal Romance after all), and we even got an excerpt from a spin off series. My Review: A fun and bittersweet read since this is the last book. I’m sad to say goodbye to Ethan, Tegan, Finn and everyone else in Tribane. Ethan and Tegan’s romance sizzled in this book. Boy are they a hot couple! After all they’d been through in the first three books, getting to be together finally was well-deserved. And it was fun to experience life through Finn’s eyes.

It’s rare that I fall so in love with a series of books, but I was thrilled to come across Tegan’s Blood a couple of years ago. Check out the series on Goodreads and Amazon.
Now I’m looking for a new paranormal series to dive into. Any suggestions?

Oh, that bittersweet feeling when a beloved series ends! Like you, I hate saying goodbye to characters I’ve become so attached to and usually have to take a bit of a break before venturing into another series. Although I haven’t read this series, it does sound like a fab one. So glad to hear the H/h got an HEA!
I’m after diving into something very different and now reading Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro.
They needed a HEA after all they’d been through. 🙂
I’ve felt the same way when reaching the end of a series. To get past it, I find a new series!
This is a new series to me. Will have to check it out. One thing is a plus already, your recommendation:) And the cover art is wonderful too. Thanks for sharing Emma and I hope you find a new series to fall for soon.
I’m keeping my eyes peeled for another series to fall in love with. I’m reading some standalone novels now though for a break. I loved the original artwork for the first book, but the newer covers are nice, too.
Thanks for stopping by, Laura.
I really need to read this series!
We all have so many books on our to-read list. Seems an impossible task to make it to every one of them.
Hmmmm, I must be doing it wrong because I’m always excited to finish a series. A nice sense of finality washes over me as I close the book until I start to wonder what ot read next. So many choices….
I think, like Mae above says, I just get very attached to some characters and it’s like they’re moving across the world when the last series ends and I’m never going to see them again.
I really hate when a series I love ends. I understand that heartbroken feeling….
I’d love as a writer to someday make a reader heartbroken when they put down my book. 🙂 In the best possible way of course.
There’s nothing like that feeling when you finish a beloved series. Satisfaction mixed with sadness. Glad the final book didn’t disappoint!
Now I have to add more to my TBR. LOL Sometimes a series will let you down at the end. Glad to know that is not the case here. Will be checking it out. Offhand, I can’t think of a new series for ya, but I have no doubt you will find one and I will be on the lookout for it. ^_^
read this series, but it leaves to many open ended questions…there has got to be more coming somehow…
