The charming Kitt Crescendo nominated me for this award earlier in the month, and since we’re about to run out of 2012, I thought I had better write up this post. Laura Thomas and Felicia Wetzig also passed the same award to me. So thank you girls. Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas and I wish you lots of happiness for the new year ahead.
The ‘rules’ for this award are simple:
1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award
2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.
3 Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award – http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/ and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)
4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them
5 You can now also join our Facebook group – click ‘like’ on this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience
6 As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…
I’m nominating three blogs. Every time I see a new post in my inbox from these ladies, I’m always eager to check it out. Thanks for the great reading this year.
Margaret Alexander’s Story Addict : She’s a writer herself and likes to support others writers. I’m currently reading her debut novel, Shadows of Penumbra. Check it out on Goodreads.
Becky’s Blogs-Of-A-Bookaholic: Becky’s reviews are always well thought out, honest and entertaining.
D.C. McMillen: This woman makes me laugh. Her anecdotes from her everyday life like “My Sex Toy Has Gone Rogue” crack me up.
I just want to say a quick thank you to writer Ella Medler who passed The Liebster Blog award to me recently, and to the wonderfully witty Jessica from Mitten’s Kittens Blog who sent me the Reader Appreciation Award, and to Hannah from Set In Motion who writes great reviews of books, TV shows and films and offered me the One Lovely Blog Award. Cheers, girls. Jess had some questions with her award.
Do you watch television? Not as much as I did when I was a teenager. Back then I had Friends, Roswell, Dark Angel, Buffy and Angel to name a few. Now there isn’t much on TV that holds my interest apart from The Vampire Diaries and Haven right now, oh and The Big Bang Theory.
– Who is your favourite author? Any of the Point Horror writers growing up.
– Do you like 80′s movies? Yep. The Goonies, The Stand, The Burbs (noticing a Corey Feldman theme going on here).
– What social issue bothers you? Too many to get into.
– What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? Escargot in Paris. Actually wasn’t that bad.
– How do you like your eggs? Boiled or scrambled.
– When did you discover blogging? April 2011 – I think.
– Why do like to blog? It’s my own virtual corner of the universe.
Happy New Year!

Fingers crossed, Hubbard.
Congrats on the awards. 🙂
Wow, thanks! I just recovered from food poisoning and a vacation with the boyfriend’s family (luckily, I didn’t suffer from both of those things at the same time, they were consecutive) and I found this super awesome nom! I will follow your instructions ASAP.
