Publication Date: November 20, 2013

Genre: New Adult Paranormal Erotic

Nineteen year old Annabelle hasn’t seen her boyfriend in months, let alone heard his own voice. One night her emotions take over and she can’t help but think of him. When sleep comes, so does her boyfriend. But it’s only a dream, right?

Deep down, she knows that this one night stand with the love of her life is but a dream. However the next morning she’s in for a shock.

Those nagging feelings she had while with her dream Henry may have been real, telling her that that dream might actually have been a nightmare after all. A nightmare where she may have bonded her soul to a creature that goes bump in the night.

With the help of her mother, who’s a witch by the way and in more ways than one, her talking cat and her unwanted desires towards the nightmare that looks like her Henry, Annabelle will have to defeat the demon that has now crept into her life.

Excerpt

Laying on my left side I’m awake, but asleep. In that strange between place, a dream still dancing at the edge of my consciousness.

Awareness prickling at my skin, I’m being watched.

My eyes gaze past my black bookcase and catch sight of him. My almost waking mind counts the thuds of my heart. He’s crawling along the walls. I sink into my bed in fear, trying to hide, disappear.

Naked flesh. Everywhere. Except for the smallest bit of shredded fabric around his groin. But that’s not what scares me. His face is terrifying.

It’s covered, wrapped with white paper, black lettering forming sentences all around as if it were pages from a book. It not only covers his face but strands of dreadlocks standing on end, where hair would normally be.

He crawls down and over my TV that sits on my dresser. The beast slinks from the TV, to the dresser, to my bed. Then he’s on top of me.

IMAG1239Author Bio:

In the last year I’ve discovered the dreams I had aren’t what I really want. I wanted to open a book store but in reality I’d rather spend my time writing them instead of going to school to learn how to sell them.

I’ve learnt that finding a job is great but finding one you have a true passion for is so much better. So instead of trying to go for the norm I’m working hard on kick starting my writing career now instead of later.

I’ve also found a new dream, my boyfriend. He motivates and supports me to no end, he brings me to life in a way I didn’t think possible. Now I’m accomplishing the impossible with the most amazing guy by my side.

All you really need to know is that I’m stubborn and will go after my dreams even though all odds are against me, even though I don’t have everyone’s full support. It’s just one more thing that motivates me.

  1. Shah Wharton says:

I have to say, I found the image of the girl a little disturbing. She appears to be quite severely under weight. The artwork otherwise is great, but personally, I can’t get passed the emaciation. Best of luck to Ashley with book one – the ‘voice’ in the blurb sounds cool!

    • Emma says:

I like the colours and the wisps, and the font and placement of the text works well.
I think we’ve become very used to seeing skinny women on book covers and in magazines. Unfortunately it’s the norm in today’s society.

      • Shah Wharton says:

That’s true, but is it right? But the rest of cover is original and works well. I’m sure it will captivate readers interest and that’s what the cover’s for in the end.

      • Emma says:

Yeah, the cover is a hook and this one pulls people in. Women are under such pressure to look a certain way these days. It’s definitely not right, but until magazines and those high up in the media start to change their ways, it’s going to continue as is.

  2. Yes, yes, the sepia tones, wisps, and font definitely make the cover. And it is an intriguing idea that the story proposes.

I love reading author bios and how they began writing. Keep following your dream!!

  4. Okay. I’m past the third time lucky, and now aiming for 10th time lucky! Hold thumbs. Here we go.

I love, love, love this cover and the story sounds super interesting.

  5. YAY! Roflmao. Sorry, but so glad it’s worked.

  6. fuonlyknew says:

Exceptional cover art! Now I’m thinking, erotic nightmare? What a great teaser!
