Friday Music “Bravado”

I’m keeping it short tonight. The song of the moment for me is Lorde’s haunting “Bravado”. I started listening to her album a few weeks ago and this song stuck with me. Then lo and behold, this very song was played in an episode of The Vampire Diaries recently.

Have a great weekend. I wish you lots of laugh, relaxation and beverages of the beer and wine variety. πŸ˜‰

Ok Emma this tune by Lorde is driving me nuts along with Royal would you believe I am humming the tunes in my sleep or more so. If I cannot get to sleep the brain cogs are going over and over the tunes when I am far to tired to come back down stairs to read or type. She is good though I had never heard of her before, I am now tempted to have a look at the books or maybe just may be a series catch up. As to me you may remember I don’t think series are ever as good as the books may be this would prove wrong!

Her songs are catchy but not annoyingly so. She’s a unique talent.
The Vampire Diaries books are not my favourite. I loved the first 3 seasons of the show, but I watch it now just for sake of it. Happy reading, Debs.

  2. Nice! But then I love listening to Lorde. She has an amazing voice.

    Beer… wine… cosmos… margaritas… πŸ˜‰

    Have a fabulous weekend, Emma.

Enjoy your weekend, Emma. Nice song selection for a Friday.

  4. Thanks! I’d never heard this song before. I’m quite behind on my Vampire Diaries.

  5. Smart girl, that one! Writes, sings, what else could you ask for? While there’s no one else like her, she will rule. Good pick. πŸ™‚

I liked this very much. Thanks for sharing. And the weekend – a Mardi Gras parade, some Olympics, a little bit of Nascar and of course a drink or two. Have a great one yourself, Emma.

  7. I’m glad you pointed me to this track. I got the EP after Pure Heroine, and I think I was a bit dismissive. “Not as good as the album” – that sort of thing.

I do think the album is better (she learned some things), but some of the EP tracks are really good.

Can’t wait to see what she does next. πŸ™‚

Hi Anthony. It’s the extended edition I listened to, and I was pleasantly surprised. This young girl is taking the world by storm. She’s so much better than many of the pop drivel acts out there these days. She actually has talent.
