Sexy Songs: Songs that Make You Wanna Go Ooh (Round 1)

Because it’s the weekend. I’m going with a lazy but fun post.  If I’m missing any major tunes, let me know and they’ll go in round two.

Fire – Bruce Springsteen. The finger click at 1.26 gets me every time, every time!

Wicked Game – Chris Isaak.  Moody & sexy as hell.

Love Hangover – Diana Ross and The First Night – Monica. “Love Hangover” loses its sexiness about forty seconds in, which is a shame because it starts out so well.

Da Ya Think I’m Sexy – Rod Stewart. For this song, Rod, I would have to answer yes.

Sexual Healing – Marvin Gaye. Bit of an obvious one, but oh well.

Urgent – Foreigner.  Great title.

Give Into Me – Michael Jackson. Sultry, moody and stirring.

You Really Got Me – The Kinks. Rock never sounded so good.

Love Man – Otis Redding. One of the best songs from Dirty Dancing.  I hear this and I’m picturing the handsome, Patrick Swayze.

We Radiate – Goldfrapp. Just love the “ha ha ha ha”.

What Would Happen – Meredith Brooks. Lesser known than “Bitch” but also great.

Slow – Kylie

I have so many other songs for round two but would anyone like to make a suggestion or two, or three?                                                                                              TGIF people. Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

  2. I thought at first that our musical tastes were WAY apart since I don’t like Springsteen, Isaak, or Stewart. But then I saw Marvin Gaye, Foreigner, and Michael Jackson and decided our tastes are just SOMEWHAT different. LOL

One suggestion would be Kiss You All Over by Exile.

How about some of The Pretty Reckless? #girlcrush

  8. That Meredith Brooks video was great. There are so many more songs out there, but they are all mashed up in my brain right now and I can’t think of any single one that should be on your list. Frustrating! If any do pop in my head, I’ll head back over here and post them. So glad you posted this on the one weekend my husband went out of town. 😉

  9. Shannon says:

OMG, a couple years ago I did a post of 10 Sexy Songs (on my old blog) and we have so many of the same artists on our lists. Bruce Springsteen’s Fire is on the list, oh, abso-freaking-lutely. I also put MJ’s In the Closet, Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get it On, and Otis Redding’s These Arms of Mine, yes, from Dirty Dancing. At the top of my list I had Breathe by Britney Spears and Love to Love You Baby by Donna Summer. I really liked the Meredith Brooks video, too–I had never heard of that song before.

    • Emma says:

We have similar taste, Shannon. I love “In The Closet” (will have to put that in round two) and the video to it is also very sexy. “These Arms of Mine” is romantic and yes, brings me straight back to Dirty Dancing. I must look up “Breathe” – can’t think of it, and Donna Summer is always great.

      • Shannon says:

“Breathe On Me” – – that’s the name of it. I mistyped earlier. Great track. Kind of along the lines of the Kylie Minogue song.

  10. Emma, loved this post! Thoroughly enjoyed spending some time going through the videos. Music is food for the soul for sure. 😉

  11. Weekend, yes – but raining. Nice post for today

  12. Story Addict says:

Great shares, Emma! Wicked Game is still my fav, but I also love Urgent, Give Into Me, and What Would Happen 😀
